Introduction to Mindfulness - 4 week courses at the Sangha House

Karen is happy to announce that there is now an opportunity to have an introduction to mindfulness skills through 4 week courses she has co-written with 2 other mindfulness teachers.  The course has been devised to run in 3 four week modules. 

Module 1 theme:  Living Mindfully,

Module 2 theme:  What we resist persists,

Module 3 theme:  Befriending.

Each session is between 60 - 75 minutes long. One teacher will take you through the whole module.  We would encourage a break between modules in order for you to practice the skills learned in each one.  It is advisable to start with Module 1, even if you have some mindfulness experience, but discussion with the teacher prior to the course starting will allow time for a mutual decision to be made as to whether or not this is necessary.

Weekly meditation sessions, daily mindful activities and mornings of practice at the Sangha House help to support you following completion of each module.  If you wish to delve further into mindfulness following completion of any or all of the modules, the 8 week courses Karen runs at home will enable you to take your practice deeper.

Mindful Meditation Sessions at The Sangha House in Taunton

I am now running regular meditation sessions each week at The Sangha House, Mitre House, Taunton.  The sessions run on Thursdays from 8:45am - 9:45am and from 4:15pm-5:15pm.  The cost of the sessions is £10 for non-members of The Sangha House (free to enrolled members).  

If you would like to attend, The Sangha House ask that you book a minimum of 24 hours in advance.  You can call on 01823 428156 to book a place.  

The Sangha House is a centre for mindfulness based health and well-being.  It offers mindfulness, yoga, tai chi, pilates, fitness training and many other holistic therapies to improve mental and physical health and well-being.  The Haven at The Sangha House offers facials, massage, manicures and pedicures using Dr Murad skincare range and Gelish polishes.

UK Network of Mindfulness Teachers Listing

Karen is on the UK Network of Mindfulness Teachers register.  This register has been set up by the leading Mindfulness Teacher Training Organizations in the UK in order to provide information on teachers who have been trained and maintain their practice to the standard of the Mindfulness Good Practice Guidelines, i.e. the teacher is suitably trained, committed to continuous professional development, holds appropriate insurance and receives supervision for their teaching.  For further information see the link:

Learn Mindfulness in Your Own Home

Karen offers you the opportunity to learn mindfulness in the privacy of your own home, either as individual appointments scheduled to suit you or through the regular 8 week course.  This is suitable for those who are unable to leave their homes or who feel that a group environment is not suitable for them at this time.  I can visit you at home or we can be in contact via Skype.  If you choose the option of Skype I will visit for the first appointment in order to meet you and deliver the materials required to complete the course.  Full details are available on the one day events and course pages. I am happy to travel to you if you live within Somerset, for those living further afield Skype appointments are available.
